Unis Edwards is a fine-arts and functional ceramic artist, who lives in Oviedo, Florida. Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she dug for pottery shards at various Indian Pueblos as a young child. The love of pottery comes naturally.
After retiring from a career in telecomm product development, Unis moved to Florida from Colorado in 2004. The need to be creative combined with her love of beauty and nature came together in 2007, when she started working with clay and fell in love with the art of pottery. Unis' work is heavily inspired by everything in nature: plants,leafs, seashells, animals, shapes, forms, figures, etc. Each unique, functional design is hand built. No two pieces are alike. They are food, dishwasher and microwave safe. |
