During my young school age, I was introduced to arts and fell in love with color and texture. Originally from Mexico where art is part of the culture, I started to try different mediums from painting, wood carving, all kinds of clay and papier mâché, just to mention some of my strong art preferences at that time. I moved to Florida back in 1990 and I encountered with new art modalities, and I tried them all.
I took my first pottery classes at the Crealdé School of Art and the City of Orlando Pottery Studio, and my passion for clay took place at my home studio. I still work with other mediums, but clay is my favorite. I am recently retired from the hospitality industry and I am taking art to the next level by dedicating most of my time to explore, learn, and perform new techniques.
