Peace of Amber
Amber Payne is an artist and potter creating minimal ceramics in Winter Park, Florida. After graduating from the University of Florida (UF) in 2017 with an interior design degree, she worked for a residential design firm and married her college sweetheart. They bought a historic house, undertaking renovations together. In 2021, Amber left her design job to explore other creative outlets. An introductory wheel-throwing class piqued her interest in pottery, awakening a sense of challenge and endless possibility. Her sunroom now functions as a home pottery studio where she continues her practice.

Amber looks to nature as her best teacher and source of inspiration. She believes in the beauty of simplicity, which is reflected in her work through clean, organic forms and earthy, neutral colors. Her pots may be used decoratively to add softness and warmth to any space. Amber’s art serves as a reminder to slow down, be mindful of the present moment, and appreciate the simple things in life that often get overlooked. Her intention behind Peace of Amber is to share a piece of herself with others, while also inviting them into a moment of peace.
