Robert Moore

My path has not been one of convention, and it falls in line with the medium (clay) that I choose to work with. I didn’t get my hands into clay until I was 27 years old while taking a fine arts class for a required credit in college. I fell in love with it and the process of creation. The porcelain and stoneware clays, along with the colorful glazes, still capture my attention and fuel my wonder of the process. The intense heat in the kiln alters the molecules that compose the final product. The hope is to have an aesthetically pleasing outcome along with incorporating functional objects in people’s lives that allow us to pause in our day and appreciate details, color, and form. We deserve these paused moments in our fast-paced existence and culture.

Thank you for taking the time to view and contemplate the work.
