I grew up in Venezuela surrounded by music, a crafty grandma, and perpetual heat.
My grandma introduced me to my hands, she showed me how to use them to create. It wasn’t until years later, when as a teenager my family moved to Miami, that I learned to use my hands to make art. The first time my hands touched clay I felt an inexplicable connection that only grew stronger over time.
I graduated from Florida International University with a BFA in ceramics. I was in absolute denial about being an artist, but my hands know better, and my heart knows best. I am an artist. My passion is to create and my hands always gravitate towards clay. I live in Orlando, FL, where I am a ceramics instructor at the City of Orlando Pottery Studio.
