Art is making something out of nothing and trying to form raw clay into a vessel with care, expressing not only creativity, but it is the empty space within the vessel that makes it useful or decorative or both.
This year, my sixth at throwing clay, has continued with making my unique Korean pinched vases and bowls with more texture and designs. Many of my new pieces are designed with carvings and pastel (celadon) glazes. There will be thrown plates and bowls in multi-colored design patterns—along with miniature totems for the porch or Florida room, standing 12 to 24 inches, or, if desired, for a small garden area.
Please stop by my booth and say hello. Hope you enjoy the show.
