Growing up in an arts & crafts environment - there was always something to create! As an older teenager, I assisted my mom in her ceramics shop. Most of my tasks were finishing out bisque pieces with dry brushing with acrylic stains for display samples. Since that time, I've spent most of my time developing techniques and styles in painting acrylics, mixed media, collage, and fine art photography. Then two years ago, a clay artist friend introduced me to the Orlando Pottery Studio. I realized how much I missed working with ceramics, so I took classes and here I am! Being a hand builder, I do slab work and coil / pinch pot techniques to accomplish my works. The beautiful feel of wet clay in my hands - usually has a way of taking me in directions unplanned. This just keeps me mesmerized! As an experimental artist, my journey with clay allows me the freedom to explore while developing each handmade piece. My works are organic, somewhat playful and ever evolving. I hope you enjoy my endeavors!
