My romance with clay began when I was about 8 years old! My brother and I were allowed to dig clay in a deep gully on my grandfather’s farm in Alabama. As a young adult I was determined to learn to throw and actually fire that clay. I have worked in clay as an adult for over 30 years and taught wheel throwing, hand building and majolica. I have taken many classes and workshops at Crealde School of Art, Maitland Art Center, Tennessee Tech’s Appalachian Center for Crafts, City of Orlando Pottery Studio and Local Community Colleges. I am currently employed as an instructor and staff member at the City of Orlando Pottery Studio.
